Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa: 2023 results

Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa (MRoA), the South African subsidiary of the German Munich Re group, closed the 2023 financial year with a turnover of 902.846 million USD, down by 14.8% over one year.

Non-life premiums stood at 644.868 million USD, compared with 257.978 million USD for the life business.

Net income for the year improved by 22.4% to 25.911 million USD, against 21.175 million USD at the end of 2022.

As at 31 December 2023, the company's shareholders' equity amounted to 196.921 million USD, and the share capital to 73.541 million USD.
