The Spanish group Mapfre reported insurance revenue of 13.6 billion EUR (15.5 billion USD) as of 30 June 2026, up 3.5% year over year.
Written and accepted premiums increased by 1.1% to 16.1 billion EUR (18.4 billion USD).
The insurer closed the first six months of the 2026 financial year with a net profit of 646.2 million EUR (737.1 million USD), representing a year-over-year increase of 8.4%.
The group's equity stood at 10 billion EUR (11.4 billion USD), while its return on equity (ROE) reached 12.4%.
Mapfre Re, the reinsurance arm of the Mapfre Group, reported a 1.5% decline in premiums to 4.3 billion EUR (4.9 billion USD). Its combined ratio improved by 0.7 percentage points to 95.2%.
Net result increased by 24.6% to 186 million EUR (212.2 million USD).
