Less than 2% of Moroccan employees covered against work accidents

Although mandatory, workmen's compensation insurance covers less than 2% of Moroccan employees, that is nearly 50 000 employees out of 3 millions.

To offset this low rate, the economic, social and environmental council (CESE) could entrust the management of this risk to the national social security fund (CNSS). A decision that may displease insurance companies.
