Jubilee Holdings Limited to merge its Ugandan life and health subsidiaries

The Board of Directors of Jubilee Holdings Limited (JHL) has approved the proposed merger of its two Ugandan subsidiaries: Jubilee Health Insurance Company of Uganda Limited and Jubilee Life Insurance Company of Uganda Limited.

The merged entity will operate under the name Jubilee Life Insurance Company of Uganda Limited and will conduct life and health insurance business in the country.

This merger will enable JHL to optimize its operations, boost its competitiveness and offer added value to its shareholders and stakeholders.

Pending regulatory approval, the transaction only involves JHL's life and health subsidiaries in Uganda. Its life and health entities in Kenya and Tanzania will continue to operate as separate companies.
