Investments of insurance companies in Oman exceed 1.6 billion USD

As at 30 September 2018, the total investments of Omani insurance companies reached 621.5 million OMR (1.6 billion USD) 367.8 million OMR (953 million USD) of which was achieved by the national companies and 253.8 million OMR (657 million USD) by foreign insurers.

According to Capital Market Authority's report, the majority of these investments are made in cash, bank deposit, stocks, bonds and real estate.
