Insurance is the most developed in the kingdom

With a penetration rate of 2% of GDP, Bahrain stands as one of the Middle East's most developed countries in the field of insurance. The kingdom is also well ahead in the liberalisation and opening of its market.
These findings have been revealed by Dr. Thomas Hess, head of Swiss Re's economic research department, during a conference which he gave on the third forum of Middle East insurance held in Bahrain.
