Increase in the number of road accidents in Tunisia

The National Observatory of Road Safety (ONSR) counted, as of 8 December 2021, 4 633 road accidents in Tunisia. This figure has increased by 2.8% compared to the same period in 2020.

The death toll caused by road accidents reached 937 against 873 on 8 December 2020. The number of injuries fell by 1.94% with 6 317.

The three main causes of crashes in 2021 remain careless driving, speeding, and pedestrian distraction.
