Generali has recorded a 20.4% increase in its half-year turnover, which reached 50.141 billion EUR (53.8 billion USD) as at 30 June 2024.
Life premiums progressed by 26.6% to 32.722 billion EUR (35.1 billion USD), while non-life premiums increased by 10.5% to 17.419 billion EUR (18.7 billion USD). The non-life combined ratio fell by 0.8 points to 92.4%.
The operating income was up by 1.6% over one year to 3.723 billion EUR (4 billion USD).
The Italian group closed the first six months of the current year with a net profit of 2.025 billion EUR (2.2 billion USD), down 13.1% compared to the figure posted a year earlier.
