Fitch Ratings affirms the rating of Tunis Re

Fitch Ratings has confirmed the "AA (tun)" financial strength rating of the Tunisian Reinsurance Company (Tunis Re). The outlook remains stable.

The rating reflects the company's leading position in the Tunisian market and its strategic role in the national economy.

According to the rating agency, the reinsurer's profits for the period 2016-2020 are solid. The average combined ratio over 5 years is slightly below 100% and the return on equity (ROE) is 7%.
