Digitizing life insurance: partnership between Algérienne Vie and BNA

L'Algérienne Vie, also known as Algerian Gulf Life Insurance Company (AGLIC), has signed an exclusive agreement with the Banque Nationale d'Algérie (BNA).

The agreement concerns the launch of a digital solution for underwriting and paying for insurance policies online.

To do so, policyholders can download the “WIMPAY-BNA” mobile application, available on Google Play and App Store, then subscribe to the “WIMPAY” service and proceed to payment by entering their BNA bank account details.

The Algerian life and health insurance market leader, AGLIC ended the 2023 financial year with a turnover of 4.06 billion DZD (30.1 million USD). The company's net result increased by 154.3% to 501 million DZD (3.7 million USD). Shareholders' equity stood at 1.823 billion DZD (13.5 million USD). Return on equity (ROE) amounted to 31% by the end of 2023.
