Creation of Liberty Life Assurance Company Uganda

The East African Underwriters (EAUL) and the South African Liberty Group have announced the creation of an insurance company baptised Liberty Life Assurance Company Uganda (LLAU).

Member of the Madhvani Group, EAUL is the fifth company to merge with an international operator. The previous merger operations were concluded respectively between United Assurance and UAP Provision Insurance (Kenya), Imperial Insurance Company and NICO Insurance (Malawi), Lion Assurance and Pan World Insurance Company (Uganda).
