In the United States, the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 has started since 21 December 2020. As of 23 February 2021, 3 026 566 441 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have already been administered: 19.39 doses per 100 inhabitants.
Both vaccination and health protocol have impacted the number of contaminations and deaths which respectively decreased by 70% and 40% in less than a month.
Despite such positive figures, the country still ranks first in terms of contaminations (28 897 718) and deaths (514 996).
The death toll due to 2019-nCoV far exceeds the number of Americans killed during the First World War (53 402), the Second World War (291 557) and the Vietnam War (47 424).
