Compulsory health insurance for visitors

Visitors passing through Saudi Arabia will soon have to purchase a health insurance policy to obtain their entry visa into the kingdom. The date of implementation of this new regulation has not yet been disclosed.

The required coverage must include medical assistance and emergency medical evacuation.

Only pilgrims present for the Haj and Umrah will be exempted from this obligation.
