The Egyptian airline Egyptair has committed to disburse 25 000 USD in compensation to each family of the MS804 flight victims, that is a total of 1.65 million USD.
As for insurance companies, no amount has been paid pending the inquiry's findings.
As a reminder, the Egyptair A320 operating between Paris and Cairo crashed into the Mediterranean on May 19, 2016. The plane had 66 passengers on board including ten crew members.
