Based in Morocco, Mehdi Arifi was appointed as credit insurance CEO for the Maghreb. On March 24th 2019, Coface declared that Arifi was now authorised to operate on the Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian markets.
The new CEO holds a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) in Paris. He initiated his professional carrier within PwC France. After that he held multiple management positions in Saham Assurance. Ultimately in 2015, he integrated Coface Maroc as sales manager and was promoted as general manager in 2018.
Coface has been domiciled in Casablanca since 2007. The French insurer which has opened a branch in Agadir in 2018, allows credit insurance coverage for the Moroccan companies against risks pertaining to defaulting.
