Cigna Healthcare Middle East receives health insurance license in Oman

Cigna Healthcare Middle East has secured a category “A” health insurance license from the Omani Financial Services Authority (FSA).

With this operating license, the insurer is now authorized to underwrite, manage and issue health policies, in accordance with the Sultanate's new health insurance regime.

This makes it the first international health insurer to be granted this approval.

Cigna Healthcare has been present in the Omani market since 2017 following the acquisition of Zurich Insurance's regional health insurance portfolio and the subsequent establishment of a licensed branch in Muscat.
