China Taiping Insurance opens a non-life subsidiary in Luxembourg

China Taiping Insurance is entering the European insurance market with the establishment of a non-life subsidiary in Luxembourg.

Named China Taiping Insurance (LU) "CTIL", the new entity received approval from the Commissariat aux Assurances to begin operations in the country on 31 May 2024.

As the Chinese group's only subsidiary in the European Union, CTIL offers a wide range of non-life products in Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands. The company intends to gradually expand into other European countries.
