China Re: results as at 30 June 2024

China Re has published its half-year results for 2024 in accordance with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.

As at 30 June 2024, the Chinese reinsurer reported an insurance income of 51.8 billion CNY (7.1 billion USD), up 6.8% compated to 48.5 billion CNY (6.7 billion USD) posted one year earlier.

The net result rose from 2.1 billion CNY (289.7 million USD) in the first half of 2023 to 5.9 billion CNY (811.6 million USD) twelve months later.

The company's assets and shareholders' equity amounted to 474.5 billion CNY (65.3 billion USD) and 107.5 billion CNY (14.8 billion USD) respectively.
