CCR Re's Board of Directors has approved, at its meeting held on 2 April 2024, the financial statements for the year 2023.
The French reinsurer closed the year with a turnover of 1.186 billion EUR (1.3 billion USD). Premium volume was up by 20% on the 987 million EUR (1.1 billion USD) recorded at the end of 2022.
The non-life combined ratio improved by 2.1 points to 96.6%, despite the rise in the net cost of natural catastrophes to 88 million EUR (97.1 million USD) in 2023, against 35 million EUR (37.4 million USD) in 2022.
The Group's net result increased by 34% to 56 million EUR (61.8 million USD), compared with 42 million EUR (44.8 million USD) a year earlier.
The company's solvency ratio stood at 208% as at 31 December 2023.
