CAAR develops new agricultural insurance products

The Compagnie Algérienne d'Assurance et de Réassurance (CAAR) has been granted approval by the Ministry of Finance to market new agricultural insurance products.

These solutions cover risks that farmers are usually exposed to, including fire, hail, storms and floods.

Coverage will be available starting September 2023.

The Algerian insurer is also working on a drought risk coverage. This project is being developed in partnership with other local insurance companies.
