The Brown family acquires Prudential in French-speaking Africa

Led by Eddie Ford Brown, the Brown family has acquired all of Prudential's activities in French-speaking Africa (Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Togo).

These entities will now operate under the Belife Insurance brand.

Prior to this acquisition, these French-African companies were grouped within Prudential Beneficial, a joint venture created from the 2019 merger between Prudential, a British life insurance company, and Beneficial Life, a life insurer present in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire and Togo.

This initiative aligns with Prudential’s strategic shift to concentrate on its core markets in English-speaking regions.
