Bancassurance partnership between Ecobank and five African insurers

Ecobank has signed a partnership agreement with five African insurance companies to market bancassurance products to SMEs. The insurers involved are Old Mutual, Allianz, Sunu, Sanlam and NSIA.

Solutions include insurance products for business assets, engineering, shipping, car fleets and business travel, among others.

The bancassurance service will initially be deployed in twelve subsidiaries of the pan-African banking group: Benin, Burkina Faso, Congo Brazzaville, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Mali, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo and Uganda.
