Bahia Ahmed Ismail, new Executive Managing Director of Misr Insurance

Bahia Ahmed Ismail has been appointed Executive Managing Director of Misr Insurance Holding Group (MIHC). She will also act as representative of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, which has been the sole owner of MIHC since 2023.

B. Ismail succeeds Mohamed Mahran, who is leaving the holding company for personal reasons. The appointment became effective on 23 January 2025.

B. Ismail holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. She also holds a Masters in Investment and Securities from Reading University in the UK.

She has over 20 years of professional experience in investment and banking, having worked for Concord International Investments and Commercial International Bank (CIB).

B. Ismail is also a board member of several MIHC entities.
