AXA victim of a cyber attack in Asia

AXA Partners, a subsidiary of AXA, has been subject to a malicious hacking attempt in Asia. This attack has affected the French group's activities in Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The cybercriminal group "Avaddon" is believed to be behind this cyberattack. The criminals used the ransomware.

The stolen data includes customer identities, financial information as well as medical records and hospital bills.

An investigation is being carried out by experts to assess the damage caused to the insurer and its customers and to notify and support those who were affected.
