ASR Syndicate 2454 begins operations

Africa Specialty Risks (ASR) has secured the approvals necessary for the launch of a Lloyd's syndicate called "ASR Syndicate 2454". This is the first Lloyd's syndicate to be focused on Africa.

The new entity officially began underwriting political risks, credit, political violence, terrorism, parametric insurance, energy, property damage, construction and third-party liability on 26 April 2024. The new activities are scheduled to begin in the upcoming months.

Managed by Apollo Syndicate Management, ASR Syndicate 2454 is expecting to generate a turnover of 70 million GBP (87.8 million USD) in 2024.
