Algerian insurance market: 2022 provisional results

The National Insurance Council (CNA) has published the Algerian market's provisional results as at 31 December 2022. On that date, all local insurers' combined turnover reached 151.3 billion DZD (1.1 billion USD), representing a 4.3% increase, in original currency, compared to 2021.

Non-life premiums have shown a 3.1% growth to stand at 136.8 billion DZD (992.82 million USD) against 14.5 billion DZD (105.23 million USD) for the life and health insurance class of business, which recorded a 17.3% improvement in 2022.
