Alexander Forbes, the 2004 profits revised downwards

The Alexander Forbes Group has revised its 2004 profit forecasts downwards. This reduction has been accounted for by:

• The shrinking volume of brokerage premiums
• A weakening dollar against the solid sterling pound
• The charges incurred after the closure of the group's office in Argentina.
