Afrigroup Holding, headquartered in Yaoundé and controlled by Cameroonian businessman Albert Nkemla, has received approval from the Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets (CIMA) to establish two insurance companies, one dedicated to life insurance and the other to non-life.
The operation remains subject to final approval by the relevant Cameroonian authorities.
This move is part of Afrigroup’s broader strategy to diversify its operations. The holding company already has a presence across multiple sectors, including banking, healthcare, finance, IT, trade, and agri-food.
