Africa Re has released its key performance indicators for the first half of 2026.
Reinsurance service revenue increased by 8.5% to 664.8 million USD while net reinsurance revenue rose by 10.2% to 575.8 million USD.
The operating result amounted to 79 million USD, representing a 14.9% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
Net investment income also grew by 8.4% to 54.6 million USD.
The pan-African reinsurer closed the first six months of the current fiscal year with a net profit of 96.7 million USD, down 6.1% compared to the 102.9 million USD recorded at the end of June 2025.
As at 30 June 2026, Africa Re’s total assets stood at 2.3 billion USD while its shareholder's equity amounted to 1.4 billion USD.
Under IFRS 4 accounting standards, Africa Re’s gross written premiums and net result totaled 684.7 million USD and 98.3 million USD respectively.
