The 46th Annual General Meeting of the African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) was held on 28 June 2024 in Kampala, Uganda.
The resolutions adopted by the Assembly included
- the approval of the company's results for the year ended 31 December 2023
- the distribution of a total dividend of 28 718 150 USD
- the renewal of the terms of office of 6 Directors and the appointment of 7 new Directors for a three-year term (2024-2027)
- the election of Moustapha Bamoutaga Coulibaly and Mohamed Farid Saleh respectively as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the pan-African group's Board of Directors.
As a reminder, Africa Re ended the year 2023 with a net profit of 126.95 million USD, against 23.733 million USD in 2022. Founded in 1976, the reinsurer is rated "A -" by Standard and Poor's and "A" by AM Best.
