AEGON lost in 2008 more than expected

The 2008 loss is bigger than expected. It would amount to 1.1 billion EUR (1.5 billion USD) versus a profit of 2.5 billion EUR (3.6 billion USD) in 2007. In October AEGON benefited from a state bail-out worth 3 billion EUR (4.2 billion USD).
