ACR Re Takaful MEA, new reinsurance company

A new reinsurance company ACR Re Takaful MEA has been established in July 2008 in Bahrain. Endowed with a capital of 200 million USD, the new reinsurer intends to develop rapidly on Middle East and Asia markets.

ACR Re Takaful is a subsidiary of ACR Re Takaful Holding (based in Dubai) and whose main stakeholders are Malaysian and Emirati investors.

The management team is made up of Jonathan Wilton (CEO), Patrick Byrne (General Manager), Mojgan Khoshabi (Head of facultative acceptances) and Christian Javitte (property underwriter).
