Acquisition of Tranquilidade: Exclusive negotiations with Generali

The first Italian insurer «Generali» is about to sign an agreement for the acquisition of Tranquilidade, the second biggest insurer in Portugal. This agreement comes after the Spanish group «Grupo Catalana Occidente»,also interested in the acquisition of Tranquilidade, was overbid by Generali.

The amount of the transaction would range between 550 and 600 million EUR (619,5 et 675,8 million USD).
