International Holding Company (IHC), an Emirati investment company, has announced its plans to launch an artificial intelligence (AI)-based reinsurance platform.
The new platform, the name of which has yet to be announced, will be based at the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) financial center.
Asset management companies BlackRock and Lunate will be partners in the new platform.
The company will offer property-casualty (P&C), life and health products primarily targeting markets in the Middle East and Asia, with the goal of managing over 10 billion USD in liabilities.
The new entity will be chaired by Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and led by Mark Wilson, former CEO of Aviva (UK) and AIA Group (Hong Kong).
