The reinsurance industry will soon be regulated in the CIMA zone

The Conférence Interafricaine des marchés d’Assurances (CIMA) is working on the adoption of texts governing the reinsurance business in an area that includes 14 member countries.

This legal reform is designed to strengthen, among others, control over the establishment of reinsurance companies and their solvability. The new draft has been submitted to the various stakeholders. FANAF remains the market’s spokesperson within the Libreville authorities.
