Lemonade to further expand in Europe

LemonadeThe American startup Lemonade, specializing in digital insurance, is entering the French insurance market. The insurtech offers French customers a 100% online home insurance product.

Policyholders can take out home insurance policies and file their claims through Lemonade's website and mobile app. The price of the policy is set at 4 EUR (4.7 USD) per month. The coverage is more extensive than that of the classic policy.

After Germany and the Netherlands, France is the third European country where the startup operates. The approval issued by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) allows the company to work in any country of the European Economic Area.

Lemonade plans to expand in Switzerland, Sweden and Spain
