Decline for road deaths in France

The latest report published by the National Interministerial Observatory of Road Safety in France shows a significant decline in road deaths over the past ten years.

From 2010 to 2019 the number of deaths on the roads of the hexagon has decreased by 16.8%. This figure closely follows the decline in the number of road accidents which amounts to 18.7%.

According to the road safety report, the decline in fatalities is mainly observed among people under 24 years, unlike those over 55 years whose mortality has increased during the same period.
