AXA: Appointments

MeetingThe AXA Group has announced several appointments to strategic positions.

  • Guillaume Borie, 33, currently Group Chief Innovation Officer and CEO of AXA Next, is appointed Deputy CEO of AXA France. He will also assume the position of CEO of AXA Particuliers and IARD Enterprises.
  • Matthieu Bébéar, current Deputy CEO of AXA France and CEO of AXA Particuliers & IARD Entreprises becomes Chief Business Officer of AXA International and New Markets. In addition, he will serve as Strategic Development Officer for Latin America. Matthieu Bébéar will report to Benoît Claveranne.
  • Benoît Claveranne retains his position as CEO of AXA International and New Markets and a member of AXA's Management Committee. In addition, he will oversee, within the group's management committee, the innovation ecosystem. He will also continue to develop new economic models for health insurance.
  • Etienne Bouas-Laurent takes over from Gérald Harlin, group Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer. G. Harlin will retire in early 2020.
All of these appointments will take effect on 1 January 2020.
