ATI: Next accession of several African countries

ATIThe African Trade Insurance Agence (ATI) will soon have three new members: Cameroon, Niger and Togo. The European Investment Bank (EIB) will finance this project.

Founded in 2001 through a collaboration between African States and the World Bank, ATI's mission is to protect foreign direct investment and cover political, commercial and credit risks. Thus, ATI provides member countries with an enabling environment for economic development.

Benin, Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana are already affiliated with ATI, which set up a regional office for Western Africa in Cotonou in July 2019. The next countries targeted by ATI are Nigeria, Senegal, Mali and Gabon.
