ASTREE: turnover increase in Q1 2022

The insurance and reinsurance company ASTREE has recorded a 34.55% increase in its turnover of 91.853 million TND (31.197 million USD) in Q1 2022 compared to 68.266 million TND (24.316 million USD) one year earlier.

Non-life premiums grew by 3.3% and reached 64.162 million TND (21.792 million USD). The non-life business is dominated by motor insurance which totaled 27.537 million TND (9.352 million USD) of premium income as of 31 March 2022.

During the period under review, the life activity recorded a strong turnover growth of 349% reaching 27.691 million TND (9.405 million USD) compared to 6.162 million TND (2.195 million USD) during the first 3 months of 2021.

The incurred losses increased from 12.748 million TND (4.541 million USD) in Q1 2021 to 15.771 million TND (5.356 million USD) 12 months later, thus rising by 23.7%.

Return on investments reached 9.605 million TND (3.262 million USD) against 8.956 million TND (3.19 million USD) at the end of March 2021.
