The situation of CAT is worrying

The authorities are examining the situation and the fate of the Compagnie d'Assurance Transport (CAT) whose accumulated losses have become the main concern of the supervising authority. CAT is currently undergoing a restructuring plan which envisages financial support and successive premium increases until the year 2007. Both envisaged solutions to solve the CAT crisis, that is, either its dissolution or its conversion into a generalist insurance company, are not appreciated by the shareholding companies.
