Launch of At-Takafulia

The company At-Takafulia, headed by Ali Hammami, has officially launched its Takaful business on January 2, 2014.

LThe capital of the company, set at 6 million USD, is 96% owned by seven insurance and reinsurance companies (Assurance Salim, STAR, CTAMA, AMI, MAE, Jordanian Islamic Insurance Company, Tunis Re) and a bank.

The company relies on the development of Takaful products in Tunisia to develop a sector currently representing 1% of the insurance market.
