Kenya Re has decided to cease underwriting marine hull risks

Because of the rising claims, Kenya Re has decided to cease underwriting marine hull risks. In the course of 2007, the reinsurer disbursed 200 million KES (3.1 million USD) in marine hull-related risks, that is, 10% of the total amount spent on claims indemnifications.
