Jubilee announced the forthcoming acquisition of two insurance companies

Jubilee has announced it will soon acquire two insurance companies in Central and Eastern Africa. The company, which halted its life risks underwriting because of AIDS, plans to restart its operations in this class of business.
According to local authorities, the percentage of the HIV-infected people has dwindled down from 6.7% in 2003 to 5.1% in 2007. This rate peaked to 9% in 1977/1978. In Kenya, AIDS claimed the lives of 85 000 people in 2006.
