BNP Paribas to acquire AXA Investment Managers

BNP Paribas has announced that it is currently in exclusive negotiations with AXA to acquire 100% of its asset manager AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM). The transaction, which is expected to be finalized in summer 2025, also includes a long-term partnership agreement under which BNP Paribas would provide investment management services to AXA.

The acquisition is valued at 5.1 billion EUR (5.66 billion USD).

By taking over AXA Investment Managers, the French banking group would become Europe's second-largest asset manager after Amundi, with total assets under management of 1 500 billion EUR (1 664.5 billion USD).
