Job : Assistannt Reinsurance Broker
Location: Socota Phoenicia Business Park, Phoenix, Maurice
Key Responsibilities:
- Reinsurance Broking duties, comprising management of the allocated portfolio, renewal process, new business development, and client relationship management, including drafting of contractual documentation.
- Gather market intelligence and develop relevant responses that support the company’s strategic objectives.
- Uphold the company’s core values and industry standards
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, relevant statutory and industry requirements, and codes of conduct.
- Provide support to the Claims Department when necessary and assist with complex claims.
- Must demonstrate willingness to work flexitime (office/home working and while on business trips) and availability, considering international partners and differing time zones.
- Commit to excellence by delivering swift and high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Insurance, Economics, Finance, Business, Law, Actuarial Science, or an equivalent qualification deemed appropriate by management.
- Progress towards CII qualifications would be a definite advantage.
Key Skills:
- Prior experience in Specialty Lines would be an added advantage.
- Strong business acumen with a proactive approach to business opportunities and successfully closing deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual – Excellent written and spoken English and French.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and priorities.
- A team player with a keen analytical mind, problem-solving skills, and demonstrating curiosity.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Meticulous, self-disciplined, committed, courteous, and able to work under pressure.
