Ethiopian authorities are planning to amend the 2008 decree pertaining to motor third party liability by revising the limit of policyholders’ indemnification upwards. The new limits will henceforth be 2000 ETB (112 USD) for urgent medical care and 40 000 ETB (2 239 USD) for bodily injuries, twice as much as the current limits.
This modification will compel insurers to revise compulsory motor third party liability tariffs upwards.
