The Egyptian insurance market [4] has recorded a turnover of 24.55 billion EGP (1.56 billion USD) in H1 2021, representing an increase of 32.4% compared to the 18.53 billion EGP (1.14 billion USD) posted during the same period of 2020.
Non-life premiums stand at 10.75 billion EGP (684.5 million USD) against 13.8 billion EGP (878.7 million USD) for the life activity.
The non-life activity is dominated by the health and motor classes of business with respective market shares of 28.24% and 20.03%.
