The situation of the Emirati market

Economy minister declared at the first Gulf Cooperation Council Insurance Forum that efforts are underway for the creation of a joint insurance company.
The minister has also reiterated the authorities' resolve not to haste the liberalisation of the sector pending the local companies' endeavour to strengthen and create mergers with groups capable of competing with foreign companies and taking full advantage of new technology.
