The regulators are establishing an online data service

The Insurance Regulatory Authorities (IRA) have developed an online communication system with the insurers. This web portal collects various data required to analyze the situation of each insurer. The profile of each insurance company is available while updates are possible at any time.

This innovation will allow IRA to quickly receive data from companies and analyze their performance. The new procedure is supposed to provide considerable time gain while creating a dynamic supervision model consistent with international standards. Kenya is the third country in the continent, after Namibia and Ghana to impose this kind of service.
